POSITION: Director of Operations – Hotel

 

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for candidate who will be the strategic business leader of the hotel operations on portfolio. The position works with hotel leadership team to develop and implement departmental strategies and ensures implementation of the service strategy and initiatives. The position ensures hotel operations meet the standards, targets customer needs, ensures employee satisfaction, focuses on growing revenues and maximizes the financial performance of the department.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with hotel team in planning, coordinating and directing all hotel operational functions in areas of responsibility, ensuring alignment with the strategic plan and vision.
  • Ensures the maintenance and execution of best-in-class service and drives results through staff professional development and appropriate training programs that monitor results through evaluation, inspection, and analysis.
  • Interfaces with hotel team members frequently and keeps open communication in order to ensure a cohesive, consistent workforce that understands and provides guest service at an exceptional level.
  • Oversees and partners with management of assigned areas to ensure efficient and appropriate staffing, employee development and training, performance management, and policy enforcement.
  • Mentors hotel operations leadership, and establishes the parameters that empower and develop managers/supervisors with the authority to accomplish the duties of their assigned positions.
  • Prepares hotel leadership for succession through development of key identified areas.
  • Directs the delivery and measurement of guest services within assigned departments consistent with core service standards.
  • Monitors all department standards of safety, cleanliness and maintenance to ensure compliance.
  • Partners with leadership to coordinate and monitor progress of all major hotel projects. Actively conducts and participates in research, development, evaluation and implementation of new products, services, technology and processes to ensure a competitive position in anticipation of guest’s needs within the dynamic hospitality environment.
  • Work with hotel team to prepare hotel annual budget. Monitors budget, inventory in all areas of responsibility, and marketing strategies to produce both short-term and long-term profitability. Monitors all expenses and reports any variance. Assists with preparation of revenue and occupancy forecasting.
  • Develops and executes business plans that enhance quality and service and manage associated costs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the hotels.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any related filed.
  • Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in hotel operations.
  • Very good written & verbal English is essential.
  • Great analytical, problem-solving and presentation skills, self-starter, results-driven and attention to details.
