Mihai Bonca is the Director for Eastern Europe at Oxford Acuity and leads the Demand Generation practice group. Mihai has an extensive experience in FMCG and e-Commerce industries, involving brand acquisition, repositioning and renovations. The international brands lead by Mihai repeatedly achieved market leadership, while he received more than 25 industry awards for his marketing contributions.
Before joining Oxford Acuity, Mihai consulted for various multinational organizations, redefining their market positioning. While he worked with the boards and CEOs in defining strategies, he collaborated with the organizational teams on flawless and timebound execution. His expertise as a consultant ranges from traditional FMCG to retail, B2B, IT and e-Commerce.
Preceding his consultant career, Mihai was the Group Marketing Director for eMAG, the leading e-commerce company in South-Eastern and Central Europe, owned by Naspers, one of the largest technological investors in the world, with stakes in companies like Tencent, Pay U and Udemy.
In the past, Mihai worked for Starbev, owned by CVC Capital Partners as a Marketing Director and Trade Marketing Director. During his tenure at Starbev, Mihai contributed heavily to the P&L, leading to a successful sell-out to Molson Coors. Mihai has also served as a senior marketeer within SABMiller Plc.
Mihai holds an MBA from the University of Oxford and is an active speaker at various business conferences. He is also a Professor of Marketing Strategy at the MBA program of Maastricht School of Management.
When not in office or with a client, Mihai can be spotted on the basketball court.
