Kurt April is the Managing Director at Oxford Acuity and he leads the Leadership, Diversity & Inclusion practice group. His roles span academia, owning and running businesses, and holding Board positions.

In academia, he currently is the Allan Gray Chair in the Allan Gray Centre for Values-Based Leadership at the Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town, Faculty Member of Duke Corporate Education, and lectures at Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford.

Kurt is the Founder of LICM Consulting, as well as Executive Director of the Achievement Awards Group, and has consulted to various Fortune 500 companies in Energy, Financial Services, Healthcare, Technology, Media/Television, Construction, Human Performance, FMCG, Hospitality, Retail, Consulting Services and Mining, based in the USA, Europe, Africa, Australia, and different parts of Asia.

He is Chairman of the International Advisory Council (DIAC) to Novartis International AG, Switzerland. Previously, he was an Owner-Director of Helderview BMW, Executive Director of Complex Adaptive Systems, Non-Executive Director of Power Group Holdings - Construction & Developments, Global Agenda Council Member (Talent & Diversity) of the World Economic Forum in Switzerland, and Non-Executive Director of the International School of Cape Town.

Kurt holds a number of degrees and diplomas: PhD, Cert(JP), MBA, MSc(ElecEng), HDE, BSc(ElecEng), NDip(EE), NDip(LS), completed at the University of Cape Town, University of Oxford, Wingfield College and AOTS Nagoya. He has published over 170 academic articles/book chapters/conference papers and written 8 books.
